Formula
tables = guests ÷ seats per table, rounded up
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Guests = 120
- Table type: Round, 10 seats (1.8 m)
- Seats at the top table = 8
- Space for dance floor and bar = 40 m²
the calculator returns:
- Tables needed: 12
- Seats per table: 10
- Guests at round tables: 112
- Empty seats: 8
