Formula
capacity = usable area ÷ space per person for the layout
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Room length = 20 m
- Room width = 12 m
- Layout: Banquet rounds (1.5 m²)
- Space for stage, aisles and service = 25 %
the calculator returns:
- Capacity: 120
- Room area: 240 m²
- Usable area: 180 m²
- Space per person: 1.5 m²
