Formula

Average speed = total distance ÷ total time

Worked example

Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:

  • Leg 1 distance = 100
  • Leg 1 speed = 100
  • Leg 2 distance = 60
  • Leg 2 speed = 40
  • Leg 3 distance = 0
  • Leg 3 speed = 80
