About the Crop Yield Calculator

Formula
yield = sample weight ÷ sample area × 10,000, adjusted for moisture
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Harvest from the sample = 12 kg
- Sample plot area = 10 m²
- Total field area = 5 hectares
- Moisture content = 18 %
- Standard moisture = 14 %
- Price per tonne = 220
the calculator returns:
