Formula
pay = Σ hours × base rate × (1 + premium)
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Base hourly rate = 16
- Standard day hours = 100
- Night hours = 40
- Night premium = 25 %
- Weekend hours = 24
- Weekend premium = 50 %
- Bank holiday hours = 8
- Bank holiday premium = 100 %
