Formula
packs = area × (1 + waste) ÷ pack coverage
Worked example

- Room length = 5 m
- Room width = 4 m
- Coverage per pack = 2.22 m²
- Cutting waste = 10 %
- Price per pack = 22
- Underlay per m² = 4
