Formula
Speed = gear ratio × wheel circumference × cadence
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Calculate: Cadence from speed
- Speed (km/h) = 30
- Chainring teeth = 50
- Cog teeth = 15
- Wheel circumference (mm) = 2,096
