Formula
Earnings yield = Earnings per share ÷ Share price × 100
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Earnings per share = 5.4
- Share price = 90
the calculator returns:
- Earnings yield: 6%
- P/E ratio: 16.67
