Formula
shipping margin = charged − (carrier + packaging + handling)
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Shipping charged to the customer = 4.99
- Carrier rate = 3.8
- Packaging materials = 0.65
- Handling and labour = 0.9
- Order value excluding shipping = 42
- Cost of goods = 18
- Orders shipped free = 30 %
