Formula
percentage = marks obtained ÷ total marks × 100
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Marks obtained = 425
- Total marks = 500
- Pass mark = 40 %
the calculator returns:
- Percentage: 85%
- Grade: B
- Result: Pass
- Marks lost: 75
