Formula
cost per km = total annual cost ÷ annual distance
Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Total annual running cost = 5,000
- Annual distance = 15,000 km
- Of which fuel = 1,800
- Trip distance = 300 km
the calculator returns:
- Cost per km: 0.33
