Formula

Worked example
Using the values pre-filled in the calculator above:
- Tempo = 120 BPM
- Beats per bar = 4
- Number of bars = 8
the calculator returns:
- Beat length: 500 ms
- Bar length: 2,000 ms
- 8 bars: 16 s
- Beats per second: 2 Hz
